Windsor Motel

We’ve been coming to the Windsor for years. This year there was a young couple that bought the place and we have to say what wonderful improvements they have made! Everything was great! They were so friendly from the moment we arrived. They couldn’t have been nicer. Everything was clean and fresh and they made great improvements to the pool area! The motel is located in the center of everything and you just park your car and walk . They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and the young lady makes the most amazing candles! If you’re looking for a nice, clean, friendly place to stay in Lake George this is it!

Absolutely WONDERFUL people! I can't even begin to describe how welcoming and caring they were to myself and my family. The room was spotless and well stocked, the pool was clean . Please don't waste your money on expensive Hotel chains ..

Comfortable, quiet and perfect for relaxing. Everything was within walking distance. Enjoyed seeing the leaves change while I was there, I would definitely recommend and return.

When I travel I relish the opportunity to experience non chain hotels and get a dose of Americana. This little throwback is a block from the beach, the paddle boat and downtown strip. Small simple rooms, but clean and cosy. Owners are amiable and accomodating. I will be back.

I really love this place and my dog Roadie gives it a paws up as well..Roadie's favorite part is that we can use the barbeque grills at the motel .She also likes how close it is to Shepard's park . Because she really enjoys the beach there ..and sometimes there is music in the park which makes it even more fun ..I like the relaxing atmosphere and the fact that I can park right in front of my room . The rooms are nice , cozy and clean ..and the pool is great ! But the best part is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful ..I had only planned on staying one night and I ended up staying 3 nights because I like the place so much ...Anyway I'm confident you will enjoy the Windsor Motel .Happy travels

My mom and I were on a 2 week trip to 16 different states for my senior trip and we had the BEST experience at The Windsor Motel. I recently stayed at The Windsor Hotel and had such a great experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine kindness by a sweet couple and the woman’s mother. Their warmth and care made the entire stay feel personal and comfortable. The hospitality was the kind you don’t come across often. They were helpful, friendly, and clearly took pride in making guests feel at home. Whether it was offering recommendations or checking in to make sure everything was going well, they made a real effort to connect. The hotel itself has a cozy charm. The room was clean and comfortable, and the entire space was well taken care of. It had a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. You can tell they are putting real thought into every part of the experience. This was one of those stays where you leave feeling like you’ve met good people, not just good hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet place with heart and hospitality, I highly recommend The Windsor Hotel.

Been coming to Lake George for over 30 years, mostly camped as a kid, stayed in different hotels, but this one I’ve stayed in for a few days every summer for the last four years, and I won’t stay anywhere else. The price for the location can’t be beat, and that truly is the biggest selling point. The rooms are dated, yes, and they could benefit from major upgrades, but, it’s a bed to sleep in and a hot shower for a few hours out of a few days vacation, so no frills is truly fine with me. The rooms we’ve stayed in all had excellent AC, a working microwave and fridge, a small coffee maker, a tv and three lamps, the ice machine is on the edge of the parking lot and easily accessible to everyone. It’s never been an issue to get an extra blanket, towels, toilet paper or an extra key, staff is always super friendly and welcoming. Its location is perfect, a short walk to the heart of town, or cross the street and cut down through the Fort to get right to the lake. It has a certain old school charm, and that’s part of how it endeared itself to me. It does have a pool, which I personally have not used, but it’s a nice spot with plenty of chairs, a slightly raised patio with more seating and a basketball hoop for playing in the pool, it might be the only spot there not easily accessible if you have accessibility needs. If you’re expecting a four star hotel, red carpet treatment, to be carried to your room on a litter covered in rose petals, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a clean spot with a bed to sleep in, a hot shower, a great location and a decent price, this is the place.

Amazing & personal service with a smile. No pressure at checkout. Such amazing stay. Great outdoor pool. Arranged for room to be available after mid night. Would come again if in the area. You will NOT a place for such a good price.

WOW That's all I can say about the Windsor Motel. I was there in 2023 and the changes since then are amazing. It is under new Management and they have done a GREAT JOB. The reception area has been updated, the rooms have all been re-modeled(new flooring, new mattresses) The grounds are immaculate. I highly recommend the Windsor, for what I just said and the location and price. Also t h e Staff is very helpful and accommodating. JoeV

We came here for 4th of July weekend and this motel was a great choice. It was my first time staying here, and most certainly not my last. Location: Excellent! You are right in town so everything is walkable. Reasonable distance to everything LG has to offer including food and entertainment for all ages. You save money and time by not having to park and pay parking fee’s. Some lots during the day before the holiday were $20-ish. Motel: Looks to be recently renovated, even the owner adding minor updates (solar lights and a new gas grill) as we were there the first day, before the crowd on the 4th. They have a few outdoor gas grills and picnic tables set up near the grills. Again, excellent way to save some money by bringing your own food to cook. The inside of the rooms were clean. We had a double queen room and it was sufficient for 2 adults 2 children. Shower pressure was very light in our room but I could deal for a few days. Sheets and towels were clean. Pool: Nice pool area with chairs, tables, and lounge chairs for tanning. Owner: Owner and wife were super hospitable and friendly. It made us feel welcome. They even suggested next year to come again and join them on for fireworks on the roof.
